BETWEEN TRADITION AND RELIGIOUS ART

We will begin an interesting tour of Palermo, a place of historical and cultural interest, for its lively streets and squares, visiting one of its most famous monuments: the Palatine Chapel. The Chapel, built by the Normans, has been recently restored and is located inside the Royal Palace. It will be possible to admire the majestic mosaics that, thanks to its extreme lightness, elegance and spectacularity make Palermo one of the most famous cities in the world. The tour will continue through the Palazzo dei Normanni and the Cathedral, we will visit the four chants, Piazza Pretoria (square of shame), until you get to one of the oldest and most vibrant markets in Palermo, then the Teatro Massimo and Piazza Politeama. We will have a lunch break enjoying typical street food, which has made Sicilian cuisine famous all over the world. The tour continues with the visit of Monreale, the small city of Arab origin, where we will visit the majestic Duomo, famous for its splendid mosaics with scenes from the Old and New Testament. The excursion, of course, offers free time for shopping.
